After making many fudge recipes, I chose this one for the ease in preparation and the delicious taste. I have been using this tried and true recipe for many years and recently handed it down to my married daughter.

3 cups sugar
3/4 cup margarine (1-1/2 sticks)
2/3 cup (5-1/3-fl. oz. can) evaporated milk
1 12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 7-oz. jar Kraft Marshmallow Creme
1 cup chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine sugar, margarine and milk in a heavy 2-1/2 quart saucepan; bring to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Continue boiling 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate pieces until melted. Add marshmallow creme, nuts and vanilla; beat until well blended. Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Cool at room temperature; cut into squares.

Yield: 3 pounds of fudge
