Goblin Cookie Pops
Recipe by Quaker Oats
(My little grandson likes these. ;-)

1 cup (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened
1-1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk
2-1/2 cups Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
       Flat wooden sticks
       Ready to spread frosting
       Assorted small candy pieces

Beat together margarine and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and milk; beat well. Add combined oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; mix well. Cover; chill about 2 hours.

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Shape dough into 1-1/2 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Insert wooden stick into side of each ball. Using bottom of glass dipped in sugar, flatten to a 2-1/2 inch diameter. Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until golden brown. Cool one minute on the cookie sheet and then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Decorate as desired. Store in a tightly covered container.

About 2-1/2 dozen cookies
