1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup regular flour
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 (7 oz.) jar marshmallow cream

Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
Blend in vanilla.

Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
Stir in nuts. Spread in a greased and floured 11x7x1-1/2 inch baking pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done. Immediately spread marshmallow cream evenly over top. Cool in pan, then cut into squares.
