Garlic Pull-Apart Loaves
This bread is served often to my garlic lovers. :-)

Bread Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
3-1/4 cups all-purpose bread flour
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Place all ingredients in bread machine according to manufactor's manual. Program for the dough cycle. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan; set aside. Turn out dough to a lightly floured board and divide into 16 equal pieces. Form each into a ball, then cover with a clean towel; let rest for 5 minutes.

Garlic Mixture
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon dried basil
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon olive oil

Flatten each ball into a 4x3-inch oval. Combine garlic powder, basil and parsley. Coat both sides of dough with olive oil. Sprinkle one side of the dough with rounded 1/2 teaspoon garlic mixture. Lay one piece of dough , garlic-covered side down, in pan. Stack remaining 15 pieces of dough in pan so that garlic-covered sides of dough are touching sides of dough not covered with the garlic mixture.

Cover with a towel; let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and bake 35 minutes or until top of loaf is golden brown. Immediately remove bread from pan and cool on wire rack.

Yield: 1 loaf
