Chocolate Pudding Cake

1 box chocolate cake mix
1 box (3.9 oz.) instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups (16 oz.) sour cream
4 eggs
1 cup water
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
Cool Whip or ice cream, (optional)

In a mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into a 5-quart slow cooker that has been coated with nonstick cooking spray. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs. Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream as desired.

Yield: 10-12 servings
