1/2 cup sugar
Blend sugar, flour, salt and milk in a pot. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick.
Cover and cook 15 minutes. Beat egg yolks and combine with a small amount of custard. Mix
with remaining custard and cook two minutes longer. Remove from heat, add vanilla and cool.
In a casserole, layer vanilla wafers, sliced peaches and the custard. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
